Photography: Sunsets

Lately sunsets have been my interest, as I'm starting to play with my Manual Exposure setting on my camera, it is a great way to get practice on your skills to get a great shot!
I tend to enjoy shots just after the sun has set, leaving the glow on the clouds. I still consider these sunsets.

My usual spot for sunset shot is this little meadow beside my house that my Grandfather used to own. Mainly because it's easily accessible and it's got a very nice tree line.

Other various places include:

The Beach

Out In The county

The Riverfront

I hope you enjoy this shots as much as I do. I hope people will go out and take more sunset shots this summer!
Thanks!

About Horses, Dogs and Bugs...

Blame Sydney. >:(
(Baha! I have finally realized there's an HTML setting!)

Well. My days have been revolving around my dog, Sydney's Indigo, praying manti, ...Despicable Me. Not ME. The Movie.

Horses First.

Indigo

Well. To put it bluntly. I'm horse-dumb. I don't show that Genuine of an interest in horses like most horse folk. I have no serious knowledge or personal experience with horses. I have one painting from Senior Kindergarten and it was "A stallion and her baby" :B For srs. It exists. It went into the Harrow Fair. I was mighty proud of this picture!
To me, a horse is like a big giant dog with hooves of doom that you can ride around and make them work. They also like mints. Which isn't all that bad of an impression. If I ever own one, which would be neat, and would mean I would have won the lottery or struck oil, it would likely just be some pasture puff that looks pretty and is a real sucker for treats.
To Sydney. Horses are her life. I honestly could not see her doing anything else in her life. It's kind of like she was born into her herd. Ever since I've been tagging along to barns I've slowly started to learn more about horses, been on pony rides, and carriage rides, learned how to care for and boss around horses. Except Sebastien, whom I am too wary of.

Yesterday Syd took me out to take videos of her while she did her driving test with Indigo. While out and riding about in her cart she realizes very quickly that the outdoor arena for her to ride in is far too bumpy to be done comfortably or properly. I got pictures and video in. Pictures turned out great, but it's the videos we are having difficulties with...
Regardless, You will see these pictures and videos of Sydney driving Indigo bitless on two other sites, possibly more, promoting bitless bridles! If you are interested you should check out: http://www.nurturalhorse.com/ for yourself! :)

I get home from this endeavour late, exhausted and dusty, but I am happy as a loon. I promptly check out the pictures and video, sort them out, and curl up in bed with my laptop.

I have started to watch Wolf's Rain. Which is a pretty good anime from the 90's about.. Well.. Wolves! Any wolf or anime lover should really check it out!

As I laze about my morning, my mother rages on about how I have to smuggle the dog away to some place out of the heat because the landlord is coming. They don't know we have a dog, "Just an old cat"...Plus four...... I mean.. what? When did those get here? I'm just pet sitting... permanently.
I attempt to hide off to Bianca's place, with no such luck. Who comes to my rescue? Syd. We were slightly iffy because we've both got dominant, challenging dogs. Mind you, they're BOTH under 30 lbs.
The best way to introduce dogs is to walk them together, not let them sniff at each other at all and just keep walking. This puts them into some sort of "pack mode", making it easier to have them together without fights. Dog fights are never fun to break up. There were two stern "Okay, stop it" moments from Val to Savannah and that was it. They were both very well behaved, shared tricks together, and Syd's bed, which for Savannah is a feat. She just barely shares it with her human.

Then we head off to the barn, which is becoming a much more familiar place. It was far too hot to do anything, really. I bump into a praying mantis, the second one of the day. The first was green, the second as brown. I'm sure those are the different genders, but I could be wrong. We, Most likely my idea more so, to put it on my shoulder and get a picture of it there. It was all good until it looked like it was going to hop to my face, as you can see my little freak out there. Interesting little creatures...

...I seriously started this blog at 12. It is now 2. I like to ramble on. I am also so easily distracted.
I shall leave you with this almost Sydney-like picture of a horse's eye. :>

Parties and Fishin'

In the past little bit, I've been slightly out and about. Mainly just spending time with my family.

On Friday I went to the City to go to my friend Kyle's 20th birthday party. :D Happy Birthday! It was a great time! Many lols ensued! It's always a pretty good time with Kyle, he's so amusing. We ended up staying up the entire night. I didn't go to sleep untill 10:40 in the morning on Saturday.

I looked at my first house later on in the day. It was "okay". Simply being that although it was clean, it just wasn't right, and lacked A/C. It's likely I'll be living in an apartment by myself. If I'm not rooming with people I know, I don't really want to room with anybody else. For safety's sake and such..
On Sunday my mom and her boyfriend took me with them to go fishing. Originally we went to a spot that they both liked a lot. I must agree with them, it was neat. I found it far too busy and trafficked to my full liking, though. We also did not catch very many fish there. I think it was only three or so for the four hours we were there. I still enjoyed myself. I played with my camera.
Eventually we got hungry and decided to go to another spot. Here there were people lined down the entire dock. There we met a nice woman who kept us company and gave us GREEN worms! Weird things. I wonder what the heck they feed them! When you cut them their insides were green too! Uegh.We brought home 15 Perch! We ate them as fish sticks pretty much!
I like fishing when you catch lots of fish :D. Most people like fishing like that. I don't care about what kind of fish I catch. I could catch Gobi all day long... and huck them at the wall (to avoid a fine.)There's seriously a fine if you throw a Gobi back into the water. Big Fine.

Today I went to meet with the cardiologist! Guess what!? There's nothing to be worried about! :D So long as I take care of myself there shouldn't be anything to worry about at all. The only cause for concern would be if my chest pains lasted a lot longer, or if I start fainting and stuff. What a relief. The doctor says the chest pain can be from some muscle around the heart that is being strained or something. It is my lacrosse side, so I suppose so.

Anyways. That's what's been happening for the last little bit! hope you enjoyed it!

Oops.

It's been a LONG while since I posted. Like... Three Months. Lol
Oops?
A lot has happened. I went to Prom, I graduated, I acquired a lizard and a turtle. Okay. So not much has happened. This blog will likely just be a giant photo journal.

Lately my life has been revolving around the boyfriend, the animals, and the furry fandom.
Joshua's thumb has made about a 70% recovery, there's just the rest of the bending to accomplish. It's just sensitive, but it's losing that since I keep touching it on accident.
All of my animals are all honkey dorey and stuff. I have two sleeping in my bed. Two reptiles sleeping contently and a ferret out cold in her hammock.
As for the fandom. I've been really getting into it again, arting vigorously and so on and so fourth. You can check out my FA here: :3 I also now have a slight obsession with wolves. e_e
My summer has started, and it's been pretty good. Started with a party, which lead to me puking my face off. Tomorrow I am going to a fireworks party with my family. My dad's band is playing. It should be very very interesting. :3

Excuse the photo dump.

Prom:

Olol: There was also a Tornado that hit the area on like.. June 6th or sommot. It was pretty mean.

I graduated:

My animals:
